Meeting Topics Summary

Program

CPAC (Center for Process Analysis and Control – University of Washington) and MK Optimization and Control look forward to again hosting the Rome Workshop on March 23-25, 2015 in the University of Washington Rome Center, Rome, Italy. The theme will be Achieving end-to-end intensified process design and sustainability via Technology Developments and Molecule Management (Smart Manufacturing). It will also recognize the importance of handling large amounts of data that are subsequently produced by increased process monitoring and product assessment. The goal of the conference is to catalyze international collaborations to advance research in these important fields of networked information-based technologies throughout the manufacturing and supply chain enterprise.

CPAC has an established track record in fostering academic and industrial interactions - to bridge the gap between basic research and full-scale process / product development. The workshop attendees will involve: academic researchers, government scientists and engineers, instrument manufacturers, engineering companies, and industrial ‘end-users’.

Format

The workshop will be held over three days - beginning on Monday afternoon, March 23, and ending on Wednesday, March 25. The Workshop Presentations will serve as a basis for open discussions with a futuristic outlook toward the technology presented and its impact on the future of those technologies that impact Process Optimization. The official language for the workshop will be English. We look forward to your participation in this event and anticipate a strong program. The registration fee will be $650 USD (575 euro). For more information on this event please see the CPAC web site (cpac.apl.washington.edu) or contact Mel Koch (kochm@uw.edu) or Nan Holmes (nsh@uw.edu).
